Dr. Clanton is originally from Kansas and received his optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He has been in private practice in Arizona since 1994.
Dr. Clanton provides comprehensive eye examinations for adults and children as well as all types of contact lens fittings. He also has experience in pre and post-op cataract care, glaucoma management, diabetic eye care, and managing "red-eye" emergencies.
Dr. Clanton is very into golf, biking, running, hiking, physical fitness, and gardening. He is also a big sports fan, especially the Kansas Jayhawks, Yankees, Chiefs, Sundevils, Diamondbacks, Suns, and Cardinals.
Dr. Gary Baron is an optometrist who has been practicing all over the valley for over 13 years. Dr. Baron grew up in Phoenix and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona in 1996 with a minor in Chemistry and major in Microbiology and Immunology. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2003 from Southern California College of Optometry where he finished in the top 2% of national boards rankings in his class.
He completed internships at Bemidji, Minnesota, South Central Los Angeles, and Orange County, California. During these internships, he acquired proficiency in pediatric optometry, low vision optometry for the visually impaired, ocular diseases, and general family practice optometry.
Dr. Baron is able to perform comprehensive exams in Spanish. He initially worked at Nationwide Vision which is the largest vision care provider in Arizona. In his second year at that company, he received the Medical Masters Award for excellence in treating medical eye conditions.
He brings great enthusiasm and knowledge to the practice. He believes that it is important to take time with each patient and make sure that their concerns are answered. He feels that it is important to treat each patient as if they were part of his own family.
